Roseann Lynn Brenner concentrates her civil litigation practice in the defense of medical malpractice, long term care, insurance casualty and construction liability claims as well as insurance coverage and licensing issues. She regularly tries cases in the state and federal courts of Pennsylvania and New Jersey.
Ms. Brenner has presented seminars on medical legal issues and has taught continuing legal education seminars on the subject of nursing home litigation in addition to trial advocacy at Dickinson Law School. She co-authored two articles published in The Legal Intelligencer, entitled "Certificates of Merit: Compelling Litigation" and "The Mental Health Procedures Act Has Teeth." Ms. Brenner serves as a former member of on the Board of Directors of St. Catherine Laboure Medical Clinic and on the editorial board of the monthly publication, Medical Malpractice Law & Strategy. She is a member of the Philadelphia Area Society for Healthcare Risk Management, the Pennsylvania Health Care Association, the National Rural Health Association and the Defense Research Institute.
She graduated from Temple University School of Law and earned her undergraduate degree maxima cum laude from La Salle University.
Following graduation from law school, Ms. Brenner served as law clerk to The Honorable Thomas J. Eshelman in Berks County Court of Common Pleas and then as law clerk to The Honorable E. Mac Troutman of the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania.
Ms. Brenner is admitted to practice in the United States Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit, in the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania and the District of New Jersey, and the state courts of Pennsylvania and New Jersey.
She is involved in many charitable organizations and serves as a volunteer lawyer in Philadelphia's Diversion Program which assists low income homeowners facing loss of their homes. |
